Commission Closer/Exhibition Opener

Sacrifice Fly

Sacrifice Fly, oil on canvas, 54" x 42", 2014

My last painting of 2014, "Sacrifice Fly" was a commissioned Christmas present for an elite softball player who has played for the Canadian National and Quebec softball teams.  I love to paint bodies in motion and so it was a pleasure and a privilege to paint her incredible athleticism, flying through the air and making a spectacular catch.

My painting, "Suspended Morning" is in the upcoming curated group exhibition, Warmth.  The vernissage takes place this Sunday, January 11th from 2pm to 4pm complete with a barista with a travelling espresso bar.  The show is at the E.K. Voland Gallery located at 4710 rue St. Ambroise, Montreal and runs until January 20th.  The gallery is open Monday to Friday, 11am to 3pm or by appointment: 514 713-6583.

If you would like to attend the opening please click HERE for a free ticket which you can bring to the vernissage where you will be entered in a draw for "a warm surprise".

A catalogue of the exhibition's art work can be purchased HERE .
