Lors de le lecture d'un passage, une virgule est nécessaire afin de prendre une pause. Floating Pauses est une célébration des virgules dans la vie - les moments où nous prenons une pause.

A comma requires you to take a breath when reading a passage.  Floating Pauses celebrates the commas in one's life - those moments when you take a breath.

Expostion Célébration Exhibition

Exclamation 20" x 20" Oil Paint on Panel 2016

My painting Exclamation was selected for Beaux-Arts-Des-Ameriques' group exhibition, Celebration on view from January 26 to March 11 2017 at their satellite gallery located at 5432 boulevard Saint-Laurent, Montreal H2T 1S1.  Vernissage is Saturday, Feb. 4th 1-5pm. The exhibition celebrates the gallery's 10 year anniversary.

There have been 3,653 days in the 10 years that Galèrie Beaux-Arts des Amèriques has been open.  Although we mark the years with celebration, it is each of these days that we applaud.

Inspired by writer, Ray Bradbury’s suggestion that we should explode every day to retain a sense of wonder, an exclamation point was used to represent the notion of each day’s worthiness for jubilation.

The dispersion of exclamation marks gives an impression of scattered confetti reinforcing the theme of celebration.
